CNC Machined PEEK Dialysis Fluid Manifold Block
Product Overview
This product case covers a CNC machined PEEK fluid manifold block designed for a dialysis or medical fluid-control module. The component includes multiple ports, O-ring grooves, threaded insert locations, flat sealing faces and mounting holes. Its role is to route liquid through a compact assembly while maintaining seal compression and reliable alignment with tubing connectors and sensors.

Customer Requirement
The customer needed a prototype batch for functional assembly and leak-test validation. The manifold required clean port geometry, stable O-ring compression, smooth sealing surfaces, burr-free internal intersections and protected packaging. Because the part interfaces with fluid fittings, pressure seals and external brackets, the drawing review focused on datum control and the relationship between port axes.

Manufacturing Approach
The PEEK blank was machined using sharp tools, controlled feeds and custom workholding to reduce heat and stress. Datum faces were finished first, followed by mounting holes, port bores, O-ring grooves and secondary cross holes. Threaded metal insert areas were kept clean and checked separately. The process avoided heavy clamping so the polymer body would not distort before final inspection.

Inspection and Quality Control
Inspection covered port position, bore diameter, O-ring groove width and depth, thread fit, sealing-face flatness and visual cleanliness. Gauge pins and optical checks were used for small ports, while CMM checks confirmed datum relationships. Clean flushing and magnified review helped reduce the risk of internal chips or loose burrs.

Result
The finished manifolds were packed with related O-rings and stainless fittings separated in trays and pouches. The batch was ready for prototype leak testing and assembly verification. This case shows how CNC machining supports medical equipment development when sealing geometry, material behavior and cleanliness are considered from the start.
FAQ
What material was used for the manifold block?
The manifold was machined from PEEK for dimensional stability, chemical resistance and clean machining performance.
What are the key inspection items?
Port position, bore size, O-ring groove depth, sealing-face flatness, thread fit and internal burr condition are key items.
Can O-rings and fittings be supplied together?
Yes. O-rings, stainless fittings and inserts can be packed with the manifold as a clean assembly kit.
Why is clamping control important for PEEK?
Excessive clamping can deform polymer parts and affect port alignment or sealing-face flatness.
Can leak-test requirements be included?
Yes. Pressure or leak-test requirements should be listed on the drawing or purchase specification.
Is this suitable for low-volume production?
Yes. CNC machining is practical for prototypes, validation batches and low-volume medical equipment components.
